MAGMA Air duct heater is an assembly of multiple heating elements commonly āUā type or āWā shaped incoloy sheathed tubular heaters mounted on steel casing, which is mainly used to prevent vibration and protect the heaters. These heating elements can be plain or finned tubes. Finned tubes are generally good for additional protection for humid air ducts.
Magma bobbin heaters are made from mixture of ceramics such as cordierite, steatite etc. and also made from High Purity MgO Bobbins. These bobbins are interlocked with each other up to desired length and wattages, made with sheathed and without sheathed material and also with mounting flanges if required. As per application sheath material is selected which ranges from nickel plated mild steel, copper , nickel plated copper to all grades of stainless steel.
MAGMA cartridge heaters are suitable, appropriate devices for applying concentrated heat to solid metal components. Cartridge heater is somewhat similar to tubular heaters structurally but with higher watt densities, usually custom manufactured to size, sheath, leads, terminals, wattage and voltage as per application or requirement. Cartridge heaters are used in restricted working areas where localized heating is required for close thermal control.
MAGMA Tubular heating elements are the most versatile and the best suited solutions to a large number of applications. Inside the metal tube, a heater coil is embedded and electrically isolated in highly compressed magnesium oxide. The optimized structure and very high density of the magnesium oxide form the basis for the excellent mechanical and thermal characteristics of the MAGMA Tubular Heating Elements. They can also be fitted with thermostats and temperature limiters in most applications. Tubular heating elements perform exceptional heat transfer by conduction, convection or radiation to heat liquids, air, gases and surfaces. Bends are made to customer requirements.
MAGMA Flanged immersion heaters are easy to install and maintain to provide heat for many processes. These through-the-side immersion heaters utilize standard pipe flanges of various ranges in diameter to support high tank pressures of liquids. They are installed through a matching companion flange, obtainable from local industrial supply houses, to the tank wall.
Over-the-side immersion heaters are designed for vessels which are installed through the top of the vessel with the heated portion of the unit along the side or at the bottom of the tank. These heaters are available with heating elements made of copper, steel, stainless steel, Incoloy, titanium, and PTFE coated. Terminal houses or lead wires are provided for power connection. A wide selection of kilowatt ratings, shapes and mounting methods are available to suit many different types of applications. Natural circulation of the fluid inside the vessel allows for even distribution.
MAGMA Threaded or Screw Plug heaters are used for heating gases and liquids in tanks or vessels. These elements are designed to be immersed in liquid so that heat transfer will occur at a rapid rate, enabling quick heat up times. The direct immersion method is energy efficient. All types of oils and heat transfer solutions can be heated using these compact easily controlled units.

The term explosion proof and flameproof are identical where the internal ignition of a flammable atmosphere will not be transmitted outside the enclosure, thereby prevents the ignition of the surrounding flammables.Flameproof is preferable mode of protection when electrical equipment may potentially have high energy arcing or sparking components in normal operation and therefore the formation of an explosion when in a hazardous atmosphere is not easily avoided.
MAGMA circulation heaters are packaged heating systems developed with utmost precision which is widely applauded for high quality efficiency, reliability and durability. Circulation heaters or In-line heaters are extension to immersion heaters. In simple language, fabricated body with pump & controls required to circulate the source is heated by immersion heaters.
